Southern Maltings Acoustic Sessions

The ever-popular Southern Maltings Acoustic Sessions return for an evening of local talent.

We are blessed with a community rich with amazing musical talent. Come along and support local musicians. There will be a variety of musical styles to suit everyone, from folk, country and Americana to blues and jazz.

Our fabulous bar will be open too.

Doors Open 7:30pm with music from 8pm.

Tickets £5 per person.

The Wayward Sons blend Americana, country, folk and blues into an uplifting live show filled with great musicianship, rich harmonies and songs you’ll be singing long after the night ends. Expect a mix of well-loved favourites alongside tracks from their EP, Live Lounge 1.

Hardcore & Rubble serve up a lively mix of Hokum, blues, Cajun and swing, creating a sound that’s full of character and impossible to sit still to. With harmonica, guitar and two outstanding voices, their performances celebrate the roots of dance music with warmth, humour and style.

Jo Clack

Jo Clack is an acclaimed singer-songwriter whose beautifully written songs have earned praise from BBC Radio 6’s Steve Lamacq. Performing with guitar, mandolin and mandocello, he delivers thoughtful, heartfelt performances rich in melody, honesty and emotion.

Jim Watts is a master of blues and folk, combining exceptional fingerstyle guitar with a voice shaped by a lifetime of stories. His authentic performances are soulful, understated and full of warmth, making him the perfect addition to an evening of outstanding live music.

The event is being held on the first floor of the Southern Maltings building. Please check with the event organisers if using stairs is problematic. Southern Maltings is the trading name of Ware Arts Centre Limited and is a registered charity (Registered charity no. 276998). All events are run by volunteers and proceeds go towards developing the Southern Maltings into an amazing creative arts centre which will enable us to put on a wider and more frequent range of events and activities for the whole community.
