Halloween Face Painting for Beginners Workshop. Get ready for all Halloween events and Trick or Treating by learning the skills to bring face painting to life! Whether it’s younger siblings, cousins or friends, you’ll have so much fun creating scary for the spookiest time of the year.
In this fun and relaxed session, you’ll learn how to use water-based face paints to achieve bright, vibrant and popular designs with confidence.
During the workshop you’ll cover:
- Which paints to use
- Essential hygiene practices
- Sponging techniques
- Using colour effectively in your designs
- Brushwork basics
You’ll then put your new skills into practice by creating Monster, Zombie, Witch, Pumpkin, Warewolf, Spider – to name just a few designs, with plenty of tips and ideas to help you develop many more designs at home.
All professional paints and materials are included, along with a helpful list of recommended supplies and where to source them. You can practice on boards/paper, yourself, or a friend.
This workshop is suitable for older children aged 10+ and teens – no experience needed (we are running an alternative workshop earlier in October for adults!) We use only professional, skin-safe paints and follow industry-standard hygiene practices. Everyone will take home their practice sheets, plus the confidence to keep creating.
Charlotte is the face behind Rebels and Rascals. She has been face painting professionally for over three years at a wide range of community and corporate events and parties in and around Hertfordshire. In that time she has painted thousands of people and has picked up many tips and tricks to get a professional finish. She specialises in creating fast, high‑impact designs that work for busy events, and loves sharing the techniques that make face painting both fun and achievable for beginners.
The workshop will take place in our South Cowl with access from The East End via our new SMart Cafe.
This is a drop off workshop with our DBS certified tutor with a maximum of 10 students.
The Beginners Halloween Face Painting workshop will run from 10am – 3pm on Monday 26th October and is costed at £40.
Plus our new SMart Café is now open! You can make things truly convenient in the holidays by pre-ordering a lunch bag in our SMart Café for just £5. In the bag you will receive a sandwich (Choice of ham, cheese, jam, marmite, cream cheese or peanut butter), a piece of fruit, a yogurt, a packet of crisps and a drink carton. Just book a ticket for lunch at the same time of the workshop and Carol will have everything ready at the end of the Morning session.
Do look online as we have a host of workshops for children of all ages, including teens running over the October Half Term including a Halloween themed Craft Carousel, Spooky Mosaic, Calligraphy, Drawing and other crafts!
