How to book tickets

Online

All of our tickets for events and classes are available on our website from the What’s On section.

E-tickets will be sent to the email address you provide while booking. You will be required to present your tickets to gain access event or class you have booked for.

You can print your tickets at home, but we would prefer you save paper and bring your tickets on your mobile phone.

In person

On the day tickets for events can be purchased in person from the reception desk once doors open if availability permits.

By Phone

We are unable to take bookings over the phone.  If you need additional support when booking tickets please contact us.

Conditions of Sale

All tickets and booking fees are non-refundable.

Please check full Terms & Conditions for information regarding exchanges, seat changes, lost tickets, re-sales, credit vouchers, gift vouchers and cancellations.

In the unlikely event we cancel a performance because of seasonal bad weather, we will inform all bookers with as much notice as possible and offer one of the following:

  • Tickets to an alternative performance of the same production.
  • Credit to the value of the tickets purchased to be used as the booker wishes on a future event at Southern Maltings.
  • A full refund.
 

Conditions of Entry

Management reserves the right to refuse admission.

Every member of the audience, regardless of age, must be in possession of a valid ticket.

Latecomers may be admitted to shows at a suitable break in performance, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Smoking and Vaping is strictly prohibited inside Southern Maltings.

Only refreshments purchased on our premises can be consumed on-site and we request that you respect performers and other patrons when consuming refreshments during an event.

We may record or take photographs of performances or events. If you do not wish to have your photograph taken, please make this known when checking in for the event.

  1. General Definitions

The conditions set forth below constitute the formal agreement between Southern Maltings (herein called ‘us’, ‘the venue’ or ‘we’) and the customer (herein called ‘you’, ‘guest’ or ‘ticket holder’).

These conditions are governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with English law.

These terms and conditions cover terms of sale, terms of entry, and refund policy.

Southern Maltings is an arts centre and entertainment space.

Southern Maltings is the trading name of Ware Arts Centre Limited and is a registered charity (Registered charity no. 276998). All events are run by volunteers and proceeds go towards developing the Southern Maltings into an amazing creative arts centre which will enable us to put on a wider and more frequent range of events and activities for the whole community.

  1. Terms of Sale

A ticket provides the holder with the right to enter the venue on the date and time stated on that ticket for that specified event.

You must be able to produce a valid ticket to enter any event space or ticketed class at Southern Maltings.

It is your responsibility to guarantee that the date and time of your ticket corresponds to the date and time of the event that you intent to attend. Mistakes cannot always be rectified after purchase.

All our tickets are available on our website from the What’s On section and are subject to availability.

We are unable to take bookings over the phone.

  1. Terms of Entry

Every member of the audience, regardless of age, must be in possession of a valid ticket in order to gain entry to a ticketed class or event.

Southern Maltings reserves the right to refuse entry to any ticket holder or non-ticket holder.

E-Tickets will be sent to the email address you provided while checking out.

You can bring E-Tickets on your phone or printed, although we ask that you ensure that all ticket information is clearly displayed on printed versions.

It is the customer’s responsibility to check the suitability of a performance for any children in their party regardless of any official age recommendation guidance.

You acknowledge that CCTV cameras (including sound) will be in operation across the venue for public safety.

Only refreshments purchased on our premises can be consumed on-site and we request that you respect performers and other patrons when consuming refreshments during an event.

When purchasing alcohol at a bar in Southern Maltings, if you appear to be under the age of 25 you may be asked for valid identification to prove that you are aged 18 or over.

We reserve the right to refuse alcohol purchases at any point.

Latecomers may be admitted to the venue at a suitable break in performance, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Smoking and vaping anywhere in the building is strictly prohibited, and should anyone be found to have breached this rule, we reserve the right to ask those persons to leave.

We may record or take photographs of performances. If customers do not wish their images to be used for publicity purposes, they should advise a member of the team when checking in for an event or class.

In the event of an emergency, all ticket holders and non-ticket holders in the venue must follow the direct instructions from staff or volunteers.

  1. Refunds and Exchanges

Where a ticket is purchased on our website these refund terms shall apply in their entirety (in addition to the above Terms and Conditions).

All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable after purchase. This includes any ticket type, including a ‘VIP’ or ‘Special ticket’, any promotional items or ‘add-ons’, and any gift voucher purchases.

We reserve the right to refuse admission to the venue to anyone who does not have a valid ticket.

In the unlikely event we cancel a performance because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will inform all ticket holders with as much notice as possible and offer one of the following options:

Tickets to an alternative performance of the same production.

Credit to the value of the tickets purchased to be used as the ticket holder wishes on a future event at Southern Maltings.

House Rules

So that everyone can enjoy our space, we politely ask you to follow our house rules and any requests from our Team whilst you’re visiting us.

Personal Belongings

We cannot take responsibility for any personal belongings during your visit Southern Maltings. Please take care to not leave any valuables unattended.

If you lose something whilst at the venue, please speak to a member of the team in the first instance.

We have a lost property box in the café, and will retain any lost items for one month.  Any items unclaimed after one month will be disposed of.

Laptop Use

The S.M.Art Café is pleased to welcome remote workers in the local area, and as such, personal laptops can be used on site and you are welcome to use our available guest Wi-Fi during your visit. There are power points available across the café for you to charge your devices.

Food and Drink

Only refreshments bought in the venue can be consumed on the premises. We request that you respect performers and other guests when consuming refreshments during an event.
